PHIN AND CLINT



Phineas went to his first cookout on memorial day. Friends Clint and Eddie had us over for all sorts of yummies. Phineas was "on" and flashed his great big smiles. We think he likes parties.

WHAT A BIG WORLD IT IS...





Phineas is learning to focus, but on what? The Andromeda galaxy? Jake's impressive dental structure? Dad's drawings of the Plymouth courthouse? A page from Mom's research? Who knows, but we think he is asking, "What is that?"

HAPPY DREAMS



Wouldn't it be nice if we all had such happy dreams?... Phineas likes to go for walks (well, in his case it is a ride on Chris' chest in the baby carrier or with Alex in the sling). His other interests include eating, sleeping, and, you guessed it, pooping.

Here is Phineas with Jake and Sammy. Note that Phineas has already perfected his stance for the paparazzi. Phineas is charming us with his occaisional smiles and coos.

THANKS FOR VISITING UNCLE WES




Phineas and his parents were glad that his Uncle Wes came to visit. Not only did Phin and Wes get to know each other, but Phineas got some lessons in cool. And Wes showed that he doesn't freak out when someone hands him a baby (see photo).

UNCLE WES BRINGS JAH LOVE





Young Phin has a cool name, so it's imperative that he maintain that image with his wardrobe. Luckily Uncle Wes introduced him to the king of reggae music, who's love and wisdom is ever livin' on phin's new onesie. The girls are lining up....

THE PHINSTER



The Phinster is stylin in his Valdez Alaska Heli-Ski hat, a gift from Uncle Wes who is visiting from SF. This morning the young Phineas smiled a good deal at his Dad. This was not a pre-scream or the concentrated grimace of a poop in progress, things that only a new parent could misinterpret as a smile. No this was a genuine extended smiling with some intermitent soft cooing, and although it could not be reproduced for independent verification, it made his father very happy.

PHUN WITH PHIN


















Phineas is getting alot more alert and awake. He now looks at us, and especially at windows, with real focus. He also is getting better at controlling his arms. Here he is doing a double bicep curl and flying like superman (one handed). These images are from a movie we took using our camera. Unfortunately blogger can't show video, so Phineas' audience will have to settle for the stills.

PHINEAS IS IN THE BAG





Phineas got this bag for us to carry him in from his great aunt and uncle Penny and Reg. Obviously he is still getting used to it. Maybe we can carry his gear around in it for now. He has a lot of gear.

It has been raining non-stop and we are a little house bound. No new big adventures to report.

MY NEW SWING




This is my new swing. My "auntie" Rastro gave it to me, although mum thinks it's really a gift for her. I like to swing. swinging is fun. I don't know why auntie Rastro is named Rastro. But I don't know much about anything actually. Cheers for now. -Phineas

CHEZ PHINEAS




We completely renovated the second floor front room of our house for Phineas. Previously it was known as "The Rumpus Room" and was where the dogs would drag dishtowels, underwear, cookbooks and other illicit items to chew upon them. Also they would take their cute little stuffed animal toys here to finish eviscerating them. Also they would go here to take a shit if they were too tired to go downstairs and out their dog door. After a typical week of doggie partying the Rumpus Room usually did not look so good.

It is, without question, now the nicest room in our house - and he never sleeps in it. Somehow it ended up baby blue, which it will remain until he realises how bogus this is, spray paints it black, and covers it with Metallica posters.

Alex, Phin, and Sammy are hanging out on the floor. All Phin's gear is gifts from our friends and families. The crib is from Aunt Helen and the armoire was a gift from Grandma and Grandpa Golby.

TEN TINY TOES



I did not take any new pictures today. So, here is a close-up of Phineas' cute feet. No calluses, no athlete's foot, no foot odor. My feet don't look this good after a pedicure.

PHINEAS' NEW BOUNCY SEAT





So Phineas got this in the mail yesterday from Alex's godmother, Shelby. Shelby just recently became a grandmother herself. She says her grandson, Thor, loves his bouncy seat. So do his parents. Things seem to be working out well here too.

VISITING WITH DEUSA





Deusa, who will be helping to take care of Phineas, came for a visit today. She and Phinney had a nice time together. He is still honing his conversational skills, but is nevertheless quite a little host. Deusa gave him this great piggy bank--time to start saving for college Phinney! Thank you Deusa!

SWEET DREAMS




Phineas, Chris, and Alex are going to go to bed now. Hopefully, he will sleep like this for a few stretches of the night.

Today, Chris stayed with Phinney while Alex did a little work stuff and went to the dentist. The guys had a good time together. Alex missed them both.

UMBILICALLY UNDONE




Phinney lost his umbilical stump today. we're not sure where exactly it went. I think his little outie belly button looks super cute. I am not sure how Phinney feels about it though...
