MORE PICTURES FROM FRANCE

When we went to France, part of our trip was to a brain surgery planning conference in Clermond-Ferrand. This conference included a black tie gala dinner. Or at least we thought it was black tie. Chris sportingly packed up his tuxedo only to find that he and the MC were the only ones wearing tuxes. Even the local attendees were in suits etc. In any event, it makes for a glamorous photo. The dinner was held in an old castle--you can just make out the red roof in the background.

PHIN AND ALEX ON THE BANKS OF THE RIVER SEINE

Well sadly we have left Paris, but we have many more pictures to share. Alex and Phineas enjoyed walking along the river. The weather was perfect.

PHINEAS MEETS HIS FRENCH FAMILY

PHIN'S FIRST VISIT TO FRANCE

Phineas and his parents arrived in Clermond Ferrand France on September 6 for a scientific conference. Phineas, an infant, and his father, an architect, were not invited to the conference and so they spent a little time visiting in the city, which is quite charming. This photo indicates that, like many old European cities, Clermond Ferrand's culture is both historical and contemporary. So is Phineas.
