TANZANIA
When I got to Tanzania I landed at Kilamanjaro airport. We then spent a day in Arusha looking at the new hospital-Arusha Lutheran Medical Center. We then headed off by Land Rover to Haydom. The drive is about 250 Km. The first 100Km or so is tarmac and the rest is dirt roads. We were lucky from a driving standpoint that the rains haven't come yet, though you can see from the pictures how dry the land is. The rains are late this year, though we did get a few showers and one big rain when we returned to Arusha, so hopefully the rains will start in earnest.
